- Our waterslide decals can be used with most decal solutions such as Micro Set, Micro Sol, DecalFix & other adhesives and softeners
- Samples of our waterslide decals can be ordered for a nominal fee to cover production and postage costs. Metallic samples are live and full-coloured printed with and without white underprinting will be available shortly so you can have play with them and see the quality yourself before placing an order.
- Our printers are capable of producing up to 600dpi print resolution, so please strive to achieve this if create artwork yourself.
- Files can be submitted as RGB/PNG with transparent background or vector files can also be submitted but please ensure all text and elements like outlines are all converted to curves/exploded before saving.
- Our white under printed decals are perfect for use on coloured and dark surfaces. They don't have 100% opacity, so if you're working with multi-coloured substrates (like camouflage) then you might want to order two sheets and request that we provide one sheet of white only so you can layered this down first under the colour layer. This increases the amount of white and makes them fully opaque.
- Colours are printed using a combination of Cyan, Magenta & Yellow (CMY). Black is a composite black consisting of (C100%,M100%,Y100%).
- Laser printers have a limited colour gamut compared to inkjet as they can't be mixed as a fluid. Toner in laser printers create in-between colours using a dot half-toning pattern. For lighter colours this is more noticeable and less so for darker colours. Pure values of C, M or Y don't use half-toning at all.

Delighted with your work Phoxy! Working on a 1:35 scale kit-bash thing and the racing numbers were very specific, based as they were on a 1930's Bugatti racing car number font. Also needed some very small detail transfers to scatter around the body of the car. The detail and print quality at such a small scale was absolutely spot on and has created a really successful finish. For context, at 8mm across, one of my decals had text on that can easily be read (with a magnifying glass... but it is legible - we are talking about 2pt text here!) Also, the transfer substrate was really thin so you can barely see the edges of the transfers, if at all. It all looks like it's been painted directly on. Great work. Will definitely be returning for more when I next need decals!
Phil was so very helpful right from the start, he kept in contact and advised me what we could do to produce the right decals. This was only a small job but he gave me a fantastic service and great value, hooray for customer service.
I searched the internet to find 1/8 scale carbon fibre transfers. No luck so I enlarged a 1/12 scale sheet and printed these at home with a ink jet printer. OK but not great, transfers did not have the flexibility I was looking for. Phills Lazer printed transfers are however FANTASTIC. Very fine film, flexible and adhere well.Printed and delivered within 3 days. Superb, will definately be using again.
One has to be aware, that the quality of the result depends heavily on how the job is prepared. Because of the printer resolution, mixing colors may show visible raster dots. One should avoid light, non saturated tints.

The waterslide transfers produced by Phoxy Design are of excellent quality; the base thickness is very fine and they respond to decal softening / setting solutions well. I have found the white is not quite 100% opaque when applied to dark surfaces (such as racing car number discs), and so for large white areas of decal I have simply doubled up; this gives a very solid white. A decent period of time should be given for the first layer to fully dry and adhere before applying the second layer.
I am extremely pleased with the overall quality of these transfers, and of the quick turnaround that Phoxy provide. I have absolutely no hesitation in strongly recommending these to anybody needing custom decals.
